Martijn: During my internship, I studied Computer Science. In focused on the requirements engineering and GDPR for inQdo connect.
What did you like most of your internship?
Bas: I especially liked the fact that inQdo is a small company, with short communication lines. Everybody was willing to help me if I had any questions.
Martijn: I really liked I could choose to work with scrum. Because I chose this way of working, I had many meetings with my supervisor at inQdo. Also, I always felt I got good advice and a lot of space in the choices I made.
What made you wanting to stay at inQdo?
Bas: I soon realized I wanted to stay working at inQdo. I really liked the company culture which is fun, familiair and professional the same time.
Martijn: inQdo is a small and fun company, and that suits me. Also, there’s a lot of room for personal and professional development.
How did you get your current job?
Bas: After my internship ended, I applied for my current position. Even though this position didn’t exactly match my expertise, I was hired. My manager recognized I was really enthusiastic and was willing to learn whatever was necessary to be successful. This shows trust and it’s great if your employer gives you that feeling.
Martijn: My internship covered 4 days a week. 1 day, I worked as a support consultant. We planned I would start working here fulltime as soon as I graduated. And so it happened!
How did you develop yourself in your current position?
Bas: After my internship, I was hired as a support consultant for both AWS and Integration Services. I chose to specialize in AWS, because eventually I’d like to work in the AWS team as an AWS consultant. To gain extra knowledge, I’m currently following online AWS courses. I’m sure I’ll earn my spot once the time is ripe!
Martijn: Just like Bas, I began working as a support consultant for both AWS and Integration Services. I chose Integration Services. Eventually, I’d like to become an Integration Consultant and that’s why I’m currently gaining as much knowledge as possible. For example with self study, by asking for help whenever necessary and by ‘just doing’. The more knowledge I gain, the more tasks I get. Now I’m not only working for operations, but also for development. It’s definitely going into the right direction.
