Mammoet provides solutions for lifting, transporting, installing and decommissioning large and heavy structures and daily deals with factors such as remote locations and harsh climates. Mammoet wanted to schedule the preventive maintenance of its equipment in remote areas more efficiently. It therefore requested us to find a solution for providing insight into its usage data.
- Usage data is periodically and automatically retrieved and sent to the SAP system
- Usage data is stored at equipment level
Mammoet operates globally and maintains all its equipment. This maintenance was planned preventive; not taking into account the actual usage of all equipment. Actually, Mammoet wasn’t able to take this usage into account, because it lacked the needed measurement data
The organization requested us to find a solution which would provide insight into all its actual usage data, such as operating hours and mileage. This data would be shared with the maintenance departments, so they could schedule the preventive maintenance more effectively.
With the desired solution, Mammoet wished to save costs on maintenance. In addition, the organization was assured of increased reliability of the operation of its equipment. The project is executed in close collaboration between Mammoet, inQdo and AEPEX. Mammoet performed the project management. inQdo realized all interfaces and, if required, AEPEX adjusted the SAP system.
